A Beautiful Day!
Well what else can I ask for. The sun is shinning,
there is no wind and the thermometer has at last gone over 10
degrees. We're eating camarones a al diabla, (devil prawns) a family recipe, and sipping margaritas - like my father in law often says
“this is the life”.
Maybe over sharing? Well I'll tell you why, today
the Bumblebead (I mean me) had it's first display stall at the HK &SD Country Market. It was great to meet lots of nice people and to
see lots of nice products. I only got to see a few stalls (someone
had to stay and watch mine) Two stalls to the right there was a
chilli jam stall, and as a good Mexican I brought some home, mmm
delicioso! I also got fresh prawns, 2 flower pots and some hot
Spanish sausages. I really wanted to get a few greeting
cards and some fruit jam, but I left it to the end and didn't have
time to buy some - maybe next time. Lovely craft fair, if you live on
the area, you should really check it out.
And red alert for all the Mexican who like me have
found it hard to buy the right meat to make Pozole or Carnitas. I met
a lady farmer that knows what espinazo is, so if you need some
“Mexican cuts” she can gladly do them for you. She goes to lots
of fairs including some in the London area so perhaps you want to
contact her.
I sold a few bits and pieces, pieces that I must
replace as I have another 2 fairs this month;
Dunton Green VillageCraft Fair on the 20th and Getthriftys Craft Fair at Westerham on the 28th.
